Membership benefits include attorney fees immediately paid to the attorney of your choice if you are involved in a self-defense incident (Not limited to gun use–see https://armedcitizensnetwork.org/a-decade-of-assistance). These funds are to get the attorney working immediately on your behalf, be sure the attorney has funding to hire an independent investigator and initiate other critical steps to protect your rights. Assistance to obtain a bail bond is also available. If you are prosecuted or sued after a legal and justifiable self-defense incident, the Network provides additional financial assistance to defray the substantial legal expenses of going to trial. Funding is also available for appeals and retrials, if needed.
As a member, you also have the option of requesting on-scene assistance after a shooting from Network President Marty Hayes or a Network representative he designates. Hayes’ after-hours emergency phone number is also shown on the back of your membership card and posted to member-only portions of the Network website.

We currently cannot accept New Membership Orders from WA State residents, however we can Renew Existing Memberships.
On March 26, 2020, the Washington State Insurance Commissioner (OIC) issued the Network an order to cease and desist selling new memberships in WA State. This follows an investigation initiated April 15, 2019. In the subsequent 14 months, the insurance commissioner has ignored concerted attempts to show the insurance commissioner the factual evidence that the Network is not providing insurance.
We now go into the appeal process, first with the insurance commissioner’s agency itself, and if that fails, into the courts to seek judicial acknowledgement that our assistance to members in no way matches the WA State definition of insurance. Worried that the decks are stacked in favor of the State of WA, especially early in the legal process, we have for nearly a year enforced a corporate austerity program, saving every available dollar and setting it aside to pay legal teams to take our fight into the courts if necessary. That fight has now become necessary.
Important: Please be aware that the costs of fighting this battle are entirely separate and will not be drawn from the Network’s Legal Defense Fund, which is held back for the defense of members after self defense. That Fund is entirely for defense of members during the legal aftermath of self defense and it will not be used to fight this regulatory over reach.
